MITOEAGLE

        • Benefits for COST and for the COST Action MITOEAGLE
As you know, our current/developing interests are with "evolution" (species comparisons) and "environment" (hypoxia and cold exposure), but have also experience and interest in assessing effects of "lifestyle" (diet, exercise) and "aging" as well (in rodents). - Adam J Chicco (2016).
In addition to our studies in seals, rodents and humans, we have new (unpublished) data on several interesting samples from collaborations including fetal and juvenile macaque muscle and heart fibers, human platelets (old vs. young), hibernating marmot and ground squirrel BAT mitochondria, and multiple tissues from my Fads2-KO mice (lacking long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids).
