| Description | The OROBOROS Oxygraph-2k (O2k-Core) is the complete experimental system for high-resolution respirometry.
Two-chamber high-resolution respirometer for monitoring oxygen consumption with small amounts of biological material, developed by OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS in cooperation with WGT, produced in Austria by WGT, and distributed world-wide by OROBOROS INSTRUMENTS.

O2k-Core
The O2k-Core does not include, but fully supports and is required for the O2k−Modules:
The O2k-Core is a complete experimental system[1] ready for standard experiments on high-resolution respirometry. The O2k-Core consists of the following components:
- 1 Stainless steel housing
- 1 Peltier thermostat (2 to 47 °C; ±0.001 °C), copper block for 2 O2k-Chambers
- 2 Amperometric POS channels with variable polarization voltage
- 2 Electromagnetic stirrer controls
- 1 Barometric pressure transducer
- 1 TIP2k socket, providing the basis for add-on of the TIP2k
- 2 Potentiometric channels for ion sensitive electrodes (ISE: TPP+, Ca2+; pH), providing the basis for add-on of the O2k-MultiSensor Modules
- 2 Amperometric channels with variable polarization voltage, providing the basis for add-on of the O2k-Fluorescence Module or NO (H2S) sensors.
- O2k-Core Accessories are included:
- 2 s, Duran glass
- 2 OROBoPOS, polarographic oxygen sensors (POS)
- 2 PVDF stirrer bars
- 1 DatLab 4 (Windows™) data acquision & analysis (CD, USB-stick)
- 1 O2k-Accessory box for POS service, spare membranes
- 1 Integrated Suction System ISS, to remove medium from the O2k-chamber, stainless steel housing with suction pump, 2-liter waste bottle
- 6 Titration microsyringes 10 mm3
- 6 Titration microsyringes 25 mm3
